Eleanor Ezell, LCSW

Eleanor Ezell completed her Masters in Social Work at New York University, graduating with Honors. Prior to her graduate education, she worked at Yale University and received her B.A. in Psychology from Sewanee: University of the South.
As a Nashville native, Eleanor moved home in 2021 to be near family and she opened her Private Practice, Child and Family Therapy Collective, in Nashville, TN serving children in TN and MS (active licensure in both states).
Previously, Eleanor was personally grant funded to expand selective mutism services to the state of Mississippi. She replicated the SM Intensive model to Mississippi and trained 12 clinicians to treat patients in the state. Prior to her grant, she completed a two year Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she is on a multi-disciplinary fellowship team to allow every child multi-disciplinary care. Prior to moving south, she worked in private practice and day treatment centers. She trained in New York under the direction of Dr. Steven Kurtz in the treatment of Disruptive Behavior and Anxiety Disorders, specifically ADHD, ODD, SM and Social Anxiety.
Through years of exposure and treatment of SM, Eleanor has co-duplicated the “Brave Buddies/Mighty Mouth Kids” Program in two locations and continues to treat children with SM across the state of Mississippi and Tennessee. Eleanor is Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Certified, Selective mutism trainer, a Teacher-Child Interaction Therapy (TCIT) Trainer and Child-Adult Relationship Enhancement (CARE) Trainer.
