The ADDRESSING Model (i.e., Age, Developmental disabilities, Disabilities acquired later, Religion, Ethnicity, Socioeconomic status, Sexual orientation, Indigenous heritage, National origin, Gender; Hays, 2008) is a framework that helps clinicians look inward to identify areas of privilege and marginalization they hold, in relation to their clients and how these similarities and differences impact the therapy process.
