2025 Summer Intensive Camp – Maryland/DC Ages 4 to 9

Kids Out Loud is a 5-day therapeutic camp experience that provides intensive behavioral treatment for young children diagnosed with selective mutism. We strive to help children practice and build confidence in brave speech and social interaction, getting a jump start before the new school year. Each child receives a 1:1 trained counselor that works on individualized goals, including peer-to-peer interactions, speech in small and large groups, presenting during structured activities, social skills during play, and self-advocacy. Engaging and hands-on activities include group games, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, music, and special events. We create a school-like experience through circle time, center work, and show and tell. Our camp is directed by 2 doctoral-level SM experts.
