Erin Reid, PhD

Dr. Reid is a licensed psychologist who specializes in evidence-based treatment of anxiety disorders among preschoolers, children, and adolescents. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia. She received her doctoral degree in school psychology at the University of Houston. Dr. Reid completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Child/Pediatric Psychology at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine. She pursued specialized training in treating anxiety disorders during her postdoctoral fellowship with the OCD and Anxiety Disorders Program at Texas Children's. Dr. Reid has expertise in delivering evidence-based treatments for selective mutism, including cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention (E/RP), and parent management training (PMT). She has worked with numerous families of children with selective mutism through in-person therapy, telehealth, and group "camp" formats. She takes a collaborative approach to treatment and views caregivers and school personnel as key partners in the therapy process. She delights in helping children build their confidence and find their brave voices.
